6-3-2022 Puppy Lesson & exploring Mayfield Park, UT, for the 1st time

Turned out this is a GREAT park for any kind of dog training, but it was especially exceptional for our Puppy Lesson yesterday.

The weather was PERFECT, this park had HUGE shade trees and an abundance of freshly mowed greet grass. Oh what fun we had!  First we took the puppies (and my Lee Pack) UP the hill IN the sprinklers-:)

Ah-ha, then we went to the Gazebo for an attempted Group Photo. Sort've a fiasco with the puppies-:)

Onward to the stairs and the TUNNEL!

Next was the Swing Bridge!  By trained dogs went first across the bridge on command, then did a "Sit" on the other side, then returned to me on command. Course, puppy Ruth and puppy Mosa just needed more encouragement, but both did great! Always a first time for everything.

Onward to the elevated logs for some group photos and the all-important commands of "Sit", "Step-Hup", "Sit", "Step-off".  I use these commands for ALL my dogs in multiple daily applications in everyday real life. Mighty handy.

Onward .....I always do Balance work with a puppy. Teaches them to not only balance, but develops muscle coordination AND they learn to trust me despite the elevated surface they are trying to walk on. Takes practice, but oh so worth it.

THE TRAIN..ALL ABOARD! Goodness, this was a ton of fun to do with the dogs.

Crazy fun!

Amazing what you can do with the "Stay" command

MORE PLAYTIME - WATER!!!

A smidge more Balance Work

.... then we had a picnic in the amphitheater.

Finally, did a video on doing Stack Stand with 11-week old Ruth, who was VERY tired.

And then it was time to get my cleanup crew helping-:)

WHAT A GREAT DAY!
